Apologies for cross posting:
Please see below an e-mail concerning plans for charging for Tripdatabase,
and the response from Scott Gibbens about it becoming part of the National
Core Content.

Subject: [pcareinformationskills] adding TRIP to the NCC
Hi,
I went to the Knowledge Management in Health and Social Care
conference last Thursday and Friday and heard a presentation by Jon
Brassey about ATTRACT. Chatting with him afterwards he said that not
only would TRIP be upgraded in the next two weeks, but (horrors!) in
the foreseeable future he would be charging for access to it.
I use TRIP, and ATTRACT, a lot, and thought it would be a good idea
to see if TRIP could be added to the National Core Content - would do
you reckon?
Since I was in full networking mode by then, I mentioned this to
Veronica Fraser, and she thought it was a good idea, and that since
Scott Gibbens is in charge of the NCC he was the man to nag - sorry
contact. ([log in to unmask]).
So, whatt do you think? Will I be a lone voice, or is this something
that you would feel strongly enough about to contact Scott Gibbens
too.
I would suggest copying Jon Brassey (jon.brassey@gwent-
ha.wales.nhs.uk) into any email you send, just so he knows we're
gunning for him and TRIP.
best wishes,
Isla
