As part of Ovid’s dedication to help you maximise the value of your
information services, we’re pleased to announce the creation of a new
service, ARC2, hosted at BIDS and designed to provide you with improved
access to your SilverPlatter databases.
There are many advantages to this new service. For instance, you will be
able to gain access to SilverPlatter’s latest interface, WebSpirs 5.
WebSpirs 5 features more streamlined access to content, improved display
options and advanced searching tools. With WebSPIRS 5.0 you can customize
your results on-screen in a format that is best suited to your searching
style, easily view and use the results from the improved “Full Text/See
Also” display and customize the “Available from Library” option. You can
also protect your valuable information with the email address “read-only”
option.
ARC2 will also provide you with better administrative options, including
improved statistics and Athens Single Sign-on. Fast access is guaranteed by
connection to the broadband SuperJANET network and by dial up connection
for remote users. Finally, ARC2 will feature the latest and highest quality
hardware to ensure you can access your SilverPlatter information resources
more efficiently.
Ovid’s solutions are based on content + tools + services.
The new ARC2 service includes training courses (on request) for information
managers and system administrators. In addition to that, Ovid’s customer
support team will assist you in every step by telephone and email.
