Morning all,
I have had an enquiry from an A & E consultant regarding an unusual case. It
concerns as stab wound/penetrating trauma to the abdomen. The anomaly lies
in the fact that there was blood in the pericardium, and no apparent or
occult injury to the heart. I have searched for similar cases (usual
sources, but remember Jersey is not on SWICE), as he thinks it may be
unique. Before I confirm with him that it is unique insofar as I can
establish, I though I'd toss it out to anyone who may be curious to
confirm/counter this case.
Happy New Year
