b) 2. Calls for expressions of interest in Mergent Online
----------------------------------------------------------
This notice will be of particular interest to those with a concern in
business, finance and economics.

CHEST would like to hear from sites who are interested in an agreement
for Mergent Online. Mergent was formerly a division of Moody's.
Details about the products are accessible from
http://www.mergentonline.com/.

Mergent Online offers easy access to a wide range of reference and
financial information. A subscription will allow users to seamlessly
access reports on US and International companies based around the world,
seaching using a number of different criteria.

Data includes archive material, annual reports, reports on institutional
holdings & insider trading, factsheets, and an expanded long-term debt
section.

A new research product, "Mergent Industry Reports", which provides
in-depth analysis of key industries, is also available online. This
currently covers North America and Asia/Pacific by country and region.

It is hoped that sites will be offered a substantial reduction in
commercially available prices.

Please record your interest in Mergent Online via a CHEST Agreement by
sending a message to mailto:[log in to unmask] with the subject
line "Mergent".

If you currently subscribe to this service, or have a view on the type
of licence you would prefer, e.g. concurrent, number of users etc then
please let us know. Any information provided will be treated in
confidence.

An expression of interest does not commit your site to a licence. It is
hoped that responses will be based on an identified need at your
institution.
