We are currently seeking an enthusiastic person to work on a variety of
environmental projects within our office in Shrewsbury. Within the role you
will be required to perform a number of varied duties including data
manipulation using GIS/database packages, production of GIS based
drawings/figures, data transfer tasks and opportunities for occasional
fieldwork. Additional training will be provided as required.
You are likely to have a good first degree in an environmental discipline
(e.g. Geography, Environmental Studies) or 2/3 years relevant work
experience. Other desirable skills include: ArcView/ArcGIS or MapInfo GIS;
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access; programming skills; hydrology; geology;
remote sensing analysis; terrain/grid modelling and land use assessment.
Although this is initially a temporary position, Entec’s continued growth
could lead to an the opportunity to join on a permanent basis at a later
stage.
