Subject: [FISH] 'Tis the season to be... managing your mail
Just a seasonal reminder that there are various options you can use to
manage your FISH list subscription during your holiday. You can use
these to
avoid:-
- finding an unmanageable backlog of messages when you return
- avoid sending out 'Out of Office' replies to everyone who sends a
message
to FISH.
All options are accessible via the web, or by sending email commands.
For web use:
visit www.fish-forum.info and follow the 'email discussion list' link to
a
page where you can manage your subscription. Typically you might want to
receive digests or temporarily suspend your mail delivery (down at the
bottom of the page).
For email commands:
send the following two lines of text in the body of an email to
[log in to unmask] (NB NOT to the FISH list address!)
set fish digest
--
or
set fish nomail
--
... and set yourself a reminder to switch back after the holidays using
the
commands:
set fish nodigest
--
or
set fish mail
--
And can I wish all subscribers a very Happy Christmas!
