My personal view would be that because you have organised the list by Midas units of information then the links should take you to the specific page.
However, there is no reason why you shouldn't add more general links in a separate table with the specific aim of providing for background information and providing increased ways of finding the available wordlists. It doesn't have to be limited purely by unit of information.

Apologies folks, I haven't got round to getting the changes made to the
INSCRIPTION web site links.
The link you are looking for Kieron is to
http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/thesaurus/frequentuser.htm
that takes you to the list of all thesauri maintained and oublished online
by English Heritage (previously RCHME), including the Thesaurus of Building
Materials.
If you prefer a direct connection to the appropriate page for that
thesaurus, you could use
http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/thesaurus/bm_types/default.htm
Do folks think the links from INSCRIPTION shuld all go to the list of
thesauri, or should they go to the specific page? The second option, though
obvious, would possibly mean that people will not see what others are
available, or other background information.
I'll take a majority opinion on this one from the happy few who are working
this week!
