What is it with Alain Delon and watery deaths? Someone mentioned La
Piscine, but Rene Clement's Plein soleil (1960) also involves a death at
sea and Delon is drowned in Godard's Nouvelle Vague (1990), this latter
presumably containing a knowing nod to the earlier intertexts. I'm not
sure whether any of these are particularly valuable as graphic
underwater drowning scenes (which, by the way, was a pretty interesting
request!) but I thought I'd signal the phenomenon anyway.
