I'm currently working on a piece for CTheory on Stanislaw Lem's 'Solaris'
and the two filmed versions of his novel. One of the key points to this is
Lem's critique of hermeneutics and their failure to deal with genuine
difference ( a theme repeated in other of his novels such as 'Fiasco', which
certainly addresses the failure of hermeneutics and epistemic certainties).
I write both to point out that these references might be worth a look, and
to ask, in the light of my work, if you could give me more details of the
articles you refer to and their contents.
