Indirectly related to Rebecca's investigation of "film as a means of
stimulating the moral imagination" is Adam Newton's book _Narrative
Ethics_ (Harvard UP, 1995), in which he argues that the act of narration
establishes ethical relations between those who participate in the
narrational performance.
A book directly related to film and morality is Joseph Kupfer's _Visions
of Virtue in Popular Film_ (Westview Press, 1999). The blurb on the back
states: "Kupfer argues that film fictions can be integral to moral
reflection, and thus by examining the narrative and cinematic aspects of
popular films, we can derive important moral truths about people and their
behavior"
