Tsukamoto Shin'ya's Soseiji (Gemini) is centered around two identical
twins (both played by Motoki Masahiro) separated at birth, one raised by
a rich family, the other by a poor one. The latter comes to take revenge
on the former by throwing him down a well and taking over his life. While
it is not the industrial aesthetics of Tetsuo (though the costuming is
wild), Gemini continues Tsukamoto's concern with doubling and
doppelgangers, here evident in a conflict between the civilized and
animalistic sides of humanity, with the latter being Tsukamoto's major
focus.
The DVD produced in Japan does have English subtitles.
