The LITTLE FUGITIVE shows up on TV every so often; youngsters today
would be impressed on the "unsupervised" freedom this young tyke has.
I agree with the POV and height; I think in our responses, we need to
focus on the HEIGHT that Ruth first mentioned.
The height of the child is interesting in terms of how a shot is
framed; I suspect any child centered movie, like THE LITTLE FUGITIVE,
PONETTE, SHIRLEY TEMPLE, THE CHAMP, etc have children level POV; after
shooting JULES and JIM, Truffaunt mentioned that the difference in the
height of the main characters limited his compositions of the frames
involving the two characters and thus the whole movie.
