I was glad to see your BICYCLE THIEVES. I know that is the correct
translation and that there are comments about attempting to correct the
translation from BICYCLE THIEF to BICYCLE THIEVES.
I think the title has implications for interpretations of the
movie...bicycle thief was common. The plural suggest some emphasis on
the thieves who stole the bicycle in the first place from the poor
worker.
I've seen CYCLO and BEIJING BICYCLE. I've read about a film festival
devoted to bicycling.
