Why does Moore's film have such a bad reputation? In a review for a proposed book on Ethics and Film, one of my readers said that Bowling for Columbine is so inaccurate and manipulative that it should be ruled out for pedagogical use. Sure, its slanted, but my students need to see that slant to challenge the FOX News vision of America that seems to dominate the media landscape in the neocon era. Moore and Doonesbury are the two most popular and successful liberal satirists around, and I for one am glad for both of them.
