Joe,
You're clearly just trying to dig yourself out of a hole. You probably thought you were being funny (ho...ho), but it kind of backfired.
The issue of inclusion is irrelevant. So what if the Cinenova archive maintains the work of women filmmakers, isn't that a fairly good thing to have around since most other (esp. mainstream) cinema archives maintains the work of films made by men?
Since it is clearly in the interest of the list for things like this to be promoted, and since it clearly wasn't spam (you didn't peep when the Lux folded with similar notices), I think it's welcome as a notice.
As they say, if you don't like the post, you have a delete key. I imagine you've introduced a few people to it yourself by now.
Ultimately, if you really had wanted to make an objection to positive discrimination (or whatever it is) that had a serious intellectual point, then your initial post would have looked somewhat different.

Who did I call I feminist spam? My original quip said it
all. If the the posting had included an add for an event
that excluded Blacks, I would have written, "Send your
desperate white folk only request to white folks only." The
feminist spam remark, incidently, was made in response to
someone who thought I had no right to voice an objection to
the gender exclusive advertisement.
If you think objecting to gender exclusion is bigoted
nonsense, then I hardly see how anything else I might have
said would not have also been lost on you.
