One I've just gotten home from (at the SF Film Festival): a fairly new
film called _In My Skin_ by Marina de Van has an extended split-screen
sequence towards the end. Not a lovely film -- sort of trite, really --
but the split screen is well used ... effective, I suppose, but I'm not
sure I appreciated being so effected upon. I'm off to take a long shower
now :-(
(I probably wouldn't have been so irritated if it hadn't ruined my mood
from the immediately-preceding _Turbulence des Fluides_, which I would
highly recommend ...)

Because they've created such a deep structure now, you can't

But we're not on the outside looking in, we're on the outside
looking out. -- John Zorn
