I would add THE SLENDER THREAD (Pollack), MURDER BY PHONE (Anderson) and
BELLS ARE RINGING (Minelli) not to mention both series of 24.
There is also the upcoming Kim Basinger thriller CELLULAR.
Tom Gunning provides a fascinating look at phones and technology in his 2000
book on Fritz Lang "The films of Fritz Lang: allegories of vision and
modernity" (with particular reference to THE BIG HEAT and BEYOND A
REASONABLE DOUBT).
