Dear All
This may seem a strange request for information to send to this list,
however archaeobotanists tend to have more knowledge of peat bogs than most
archaeozoologists.
Human 'bog bodies' ('tanned' remains preserving soft tissue such as Lindow
man in the UK) are well known. With several colleagues I have recently
become interested in the apparent rarity of similar remains of other
species. I would be very interested in references for any non human 'bog
bodies' of which you may be aware. Such records are often recorded in rather
obscure parts of the literature and hard to track down.
Thanks!
