Hello everyone,
Funny, I just wanted to mail the list about Pinus
pinea finds and references when Otto sent his one.
I'm working on botanical remains of Roman Sagalassos,
SW-Turkey, and I'm planning to write something about
Pinus pinea. The remains of the Italian stone pine
are found in almost every context excavated, assigning
the tree a special position in Roman society. Now,
does anyone have some references concerning Pinus
pinea (finds)? I would be very grateful to receive
some replies concerning this matter.
