I have found a laboratory which will analyse methly histamines in urine samples
The place is the University Hospital Groningen, Groningen and the contact persons are either Dr IP Kema, clinical chemist, tel. 31 50 3613779, e-mail: [log in to unmask] or Mr H Breukelman, lab manager, tel. 31 50 36133781, e-mail: [log in to unmask] Grateful thanks to them for making the assay available.
The sample required is an aliquot of a 24hr collection or a random sample in a universal. A minimum of 10ml is required. To the sample, prior to dispatch, should be added 0.5ml of 20% chlorhexidine digluconate (light sensitive) as an antibacterial agent. This can be dispatched to Groningen. In the UK "Swiftair" can be used which is the equivalent of nextday delivery and is a Royal Mail scheme. This takes 3 days for delivery to Holland which is adequate according to Mr Breukelman. If the parcel is marked"Diagnostic Sample" there should be no problem with the dispatch.
