As part of its promotion for Glasgow 2005 the ACB needs someone to play
the bagpipes at the closing ceremony of the Barcelona 2003 congress (on
Thursday 5 June). The piper will need to 'look the part' and play a
couple of well known tunes. It appears as though there is not a piper
resident in Spain so we will need to take one with us - at vast cost
from an agency. Therefore, the Glasgow 2005 organizing committee is
willing to pay either the return airfare or the registration fee for a
'bagpiping' clinical biochemist who wants to go to the Barcelona
congress. Any 'takers' should contact Graham Beastall directly - a demo
tape is not needed at this stage!
