Colleagues
Our renal transplant team has been working up a potential live kidney donor
for a transplant to be carried out in Italy. As part of the work up they
have been asked to perform a 'Protein Load Test', although they have already
done albumin excretion, total protein excretion and protein:creatinine
ratio. We know of such a test only in the context of investigating certain
inborn errors and don't think that is what's required here. Have any of you
encountered such a test ( in a renal context) or have a protocol for it?
Thank you in anticipation
