We found a few years back that the best way to monitor contamination
from 'order of draw' is to measure iron which is uniquely sensitive.
Admixing EDTA & Li hep blood showed that microlitres of EDTA would affect
the iron before potassium, calcium etc were affected. This may also be
true of citrate.
