Dear All
In the general medical services contract with GPs it is stated that "the
therapeutic range for patients on lithium is normally 0.6 - 1.0mmol/L".
www.doh.gov.uk/gmscontract/qualityoutcomes/pdf (page 59 MH 5.1)
I can't find any reference for this statement. It would be nice to know
where the DOH got the information as our psychiatrists don't like their
patient's lithium going above 0.8mmol/L at 12hr post dose. This confuses
some of our GPs.
