Having being asked to review the Paed protocol for the above, I have a few
questions that I am hoping those working in Paeds might answer
1. Is the Clonidine test used as a front line, or post excercise or post ??
2. Some protocols suggest every 30 minutes to 120 mins, other to 150 mins,
is there any scientific support for the need to continue to 150 mins?
3. Are there any official guidelines from any source which state how the
test is to be used and when?
4. Is there agreement that a peak of <7 mU/L suggests total GH deficiency,
and "normal" response is peak > 15 or is it 20 mU/L?. Considering the
comparability indicated by NEQAS schemes, surely there should be a uniform
response level agreed to?
Thanks for any comments back
