We are all being made aware these days (probably via womens' magazine
articles) of the MALE MENOPAUSE!!
Under that circumstance a raised HCG can be a matter of deep concern.

Subject: postmenopausal HCG
Dear collegues
Various sources supply reference data with respect to postmopausal HCG
levels. Generally the upper limit is 2 x the upperlimit for HCG in
premenopausal women of child bearing age.
I can speculate about the fysiology for this phenomenon but I am very
interested to hear from group members who can give me a sound explanation.
Best wishes
