Dear mailbase members,
A consultant colleague recently asked me if I knew of any reasonably
simple test (especially blood test) of cholinergic activity. He is
setting up a project and is happy that he can measure functional
cognitive status in the elderly population under study. However he is
interested in obtaining an objective measure of cholinergic activity
(which may influence cognitive function).
Would anyone on the list be able to help me by either pointing me in the
direction of appropriate tests or by telling me of an absence of any
such test.
What about acetylcholinesterase?
Thank you all for your time.
Peadar.
