Dear colleagues,
Some of our haematology inpatients with high tumor load undergo therapy
with recombinant urate oxidase (rasburicase, fasturtec) to avoid
increased uric acid concentrations. I was wondering if samples should be
kept at 4°C during transport, centrifugation etc. to measure true uric
acid concentrations. Is there any sound evidence for this approach?
Thank you very much for your input.
