It has been recently noticed in this laboratory that some patients with a
modest elevation in PSA have exhibited a dramatic (often several times the
last result) over a short period of time, typically a few months.
While it is expected that some patients will experience a resurgence of
their condition, the frequency seems to be a little to high for comfort.
Has anybody else experienced this? The analytical platform is the Immulite
2000, standard PSA assay.
