I occasionally get similar requests, in most cases the request comes far too
late for any practical forensic work to be done. There is also potentially a
trap for the unwary here, not all requests are for possible cases of drug
assisted sexual assault, some are for those who have been stopped on their way
home from the local and are looking for a way out "Some bloke in a pub spiked
my drinks Guv'nor"
There is no reason why you should not undertake such tests, provided that you
have the appropriate analytical equipment and experience, and also provided
that you don't mind appearing in Court, and you are aware of the reason for the
request being made.
However, if you don't fancy doing this, and particularly if a serious crime
appears to have been committed, then the matter is best left to the police.
