Hi Dermot
The DCA 2000 is only equipped to do urine creatinines, but the precision is as good as any lab combination ( as an ACR). I'd go a stage further and confirm the precision in the community is as good as that from lab sites.
I think you were asking the cpt for ACR as both creat and albumin are performed on the same cartridge. With discount it works out at £3.25+vat which is comparable with the lab method(s). DCA2000 is about £3500
Hope this is useful
Derek

Subject: Creatinine on DCA 2000
Hi Derek
Does the DCA 2000 do a creatinine on whole blood/serum? I suspect not. Have
you a list of the current test repertoire and consumable cost per test?
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Give me bell if you have time

We support POCT ACR testing using DCA2000 in general practice. The service
has been supported for a year and the assay has precision as good as our lab
system and that is confirmed via NEQAS. Diabetic clinics who perform A1c
testing(15)using the DCA2000 are given the option following training to
perform ACR. Most have taken up the option. It is simple to perform and a
lot less hassle than performing the test in the main lab and is about cost
neutral.

Does anyone have any experience of POCT microalbumin (alb/creat ratio)?
I would be grateful for any information, particularly comparability with
lab.
Thanks
