I think she is from MAS, although she didn't reveal herself as such. Her
email address is giving her away ;-)

Subject: RE: TnT < 0.1 on elecsys 2010
Dear all
I read with interest the email chain below regarding Commercial QC
availability with sub-0.1 Trop T levels.
Just wanted to use this opportunity to advise that MAS ( Medical Analysis
Systems) have a new QC available with a 0.02 - 0.06 range for level 1;
Cardioimmune TL. This has been developed based on customer feedback that
levels are increasingly required at this lower level on the Elecsys and
other systems measuring Trop I (The QC is also ideal for other Trop I
systems requiring a ultra low levels).
Our Distributor in the UK as you may be aware is Bio-stat Diagnostics. They
will be a happy to advise you further.
Please excuse me contacting you directly like this.
Kind regards
Oliver

The Biorad insert states that the control is actually reading around 0.2
ug/L for Level 1.
If you'd like a control that recovers in the 0.03-0.09 ug/L range, please
contact me directly for information.
Sincerely,
Shelley Combs

Following the QC comments regarding troponin.......
Biorad actually make a low level QC material. It is called Liquichek (TM)
Cardiac Marker Control LT.
Roche Elecsys cTnT
Level 1 = approx. 0.02 ug/L
Level 2 = approx. 0.31 ug/L
Level 3 = approx. 0.94 ug/L
This is in comparison to the normal liquichek with level 1 starting at
approx. 0.5 ug/L
Try this extremely long link to the Biorad product guide website.......
(trust me, it does work!)
