Ice Age fish in Europe
I have come across a number of references to pre and post last Ice Age fish
distrbution in Europe, suggestive of geographical withdrawal and recovery,
but have been unable to locate any details. I particularly need evidence of
any Cyprinus carpio finds north and west of the middle Danube area of modern
day Hungary as well as those south and east, into what is thought to be the
carp’s most ancient region of distribution. I would also like to unearth
anything known on the eastern limits of that distribution into Asia.
Best regards,
John Langridge
Spain.
