Hi, thought I ought to chip in here. By way of a very brief
introduction:
- We created Canvas Learning (mentioned by Scott earlier)
- We used Canvas Learning to develop The Street for NLN round 1
> How then does NLN round one material, which is IMS and SCORM
compliant,
> pipe results back to the VLE when it launches into a new window
> outside of the VLE?
The Street uses the SCORM CMI Data Model "wrapper", "Scorm.api" (call
it what you will, it's essentially a chunk of JavaScript), to
communicate session state, scores etc. to a SCORM conformant VLE.
The SCORM.api is designed to handle communication back and forth
between the content and the VLE in question (even across browser
windows) and this should work 'out of the box' IF (and here's the rub)
the VLE in question is actually SCORM conformant.
Cheers
