Assessment for Maths, Stats & OR, 16 May, University of Edinburgh
In established disciplines such as Mathematics, Statistics and OR with well
rooted culture and traditions, generic research on good practice in assessment
does not often receive wide attention. This workshop will exemplify some of
these generic assessment ideas in the context of MSOR, as well as presenting
some new ideas in computer-aided assessment.

has been surveying the use and planned use of server based systems or tools
throughout the HE sector in MSOR and related disciplines. This workshop will
inform HE teachers of the capabilities of VLEs in the teaching of Mathematics
and Statistics, and will also include details on the use of recently developed
powerful assessment tools linked into VLEs.
