Alison, what you have there is a standard LISTSERV message acknowledegement
for a moderated list. At face value, it therefore would appear that the
list in question probably is a moderated one (even if it wasn't before!).
There is another possibility. One of the LISTSERV configurations allows
for direct (unmoderated) posting by those subscribed to the list, but
messages sent by non-subscribers have to go via a moderator. Are you sure
that you sent your message from an e-mail address known (by LISTSERVE) to
be subscribed to the list in question?
... and I'm sure there are also many other possible 'explanations', some
more sinister than others!
