You stirrer, Dominic - nobody, as far as I can see, is saying that
all poets are equal and the same, nor that preferring some to others
is a primal sin; I for instance mentioned an "educated subjectivity".
And isn't the Bloomsian 1000 best writers type project precisely
about being an authoritarian pedant? Me, I prefer Borges' statement
that "every writer creates his own genealogy", which I have probably
misquoted (it's in his essay on Kafka) -
