Sorry for this belated response to your post (re: how engineers think vs how
designers think) dated Feb 15, 2003.
You have mentioned your intention to study ways of thinking and acting
creatively from the perspective of design,
with the purpose of improving design teaching, I assume. I have a question or
worry that you may help me to settle:
why choose creativity to study, why not an ability to communicate, to
empathize, to think critically, to make moral judgements, or whatever?
The above question comes from a more basic question: what is designing
(about)?
