an acceptance of the theological virtue of adultery
in the moor rope bursting apart the
fabric of particular existence

and yet there's recognition of the purpose even so
sexuality incarnate the energy whereby
new writing and significance
shift from the final seal an emblem of that
clot of mutual understandings as they struggle
in order that love might be able
to establish a realism
starting with the root the entangling exposition
modernity's threshold
slab of grey marble
from which exemplifying elevated style
resisted by the music it at the same time turns away.
And ceaselessly
making a start upon regression
a building an antithesis a refuge
for the living butterfly aporias.
