A patient presented with slight vaginal bleeding on 22 Dec. LMP 12/11/02
Scan showed possible 4mm gestational sac.
bHCG late on 22nd 695
bHCG on 24th 167
Patient discharged as failing pregnancy.
Represented yesterday - 6th March 2003 - scan confirms 15+ weeks viable
pregnancy, in keeping with LMP
As far as we are aware there was no machine malfunction (Immuno1) on either
of the bHCGs.
Does anyone know of other examples of falls in bHCG in early stages of a
pregnancy which then continues? References please.
