I always thought Paul's paper should have been entitled 'Low ambient
temperature: a spurious cause of hyperkalaemia', since the magnitude of this
in winter was well in excess of the 0.2mmol/L fall in potassium found by
storing samples at 37C for 4 hours, even if it is the summer norm these
days.
