Professional Recruitment Adviser for Healthcare

A national secondment opportunity is available from
May 2003 for a senior Manager in the NHS to lead the
implementation of the Recruitment, Retention and
Return (R,R&R) strategy for Healthcare Scientists in the
NHS outlined in HR in the NHS Plan and “Making the
Change”. We are looking to build on the pioneering
work already done by the current postholder, whose
secondment will draw to a close in May.
The work will involve engaging stakeholders in
Workforce Development Confederations, Professional
Bodies and within the Department of Health to
implement programmes such as Return to Practice,
Improving Working Lives and Healthcare Science
Awareness Week. The work will include the
development of new strategies and initiatives.
We are looking for someone with the drive, enthusiasm
and interpersonal skills to raise awareness of
Healthcare Scientists with key individuals and
organisations.
We envisage the secondment will be for 12-15 months.
We welcome interest from full time staff, part time staff,
jobsharers etc. The post can be based anywhere
provided the secondee can travel regularly to London or
Leeds and around England.
