Subject: THE DIAGNOSIS OF PRIMARY HYPERALDOSTERONISM
Originally we investigated the above condition by doing supine and ambulant
Aldosterone to Renin ratios. This became eventually changed to doing one
Aldosterone /Renin ratio .One of our clinicians is now talking about oral
Sodium Chloride loading before measuring Aldosterone....urinary in this
instance. Is there any benefit it Sodium Chloride loading before performing
these diagnostic tests?
