One of our oncologists has a 52yr old lady who has been on Tamoxifen for 3
years for Ca breast. It is hoped to change her therapy to Anastrazole
(Arimidex) but must ensure that patient is post menopausal. Serum FSH/LH
whilst on tamoxifen are in the perimenopausal range.
Has anybody else come across this scenario which I am told is likely to
become more common as there is a move to change patients to the Arimidex.
If so, how have you determined menopausal status? Alternatively does
anybody know of relevant literature.
A quick search by out library and pharmacy information been unsuccessful.
