We support POCT ACR testing using DCA2000 in general practice. The service has been supported for a year and the assay has precision as good as our lab system and that is confirmed via NEQAS. Diabetic clinics who perform A1c testing(15)using the DCA2000 are given the option following training to perform ACR. Most have taken up the option. It is simple to perform and a lot less hassle than performing the test in the main lab and is about cost neutral.

Subject: Microalbumin
Does anyone have any experience of POCT microalbumin (alb/creat ratio)?
I would be grateful for any information, particularly comparability with lab.
Thanks
