This could be viewed as a deficiency of your requesting system, though no
doubt it was done in the interest of maximal factory throughput. However,
presumably the result still can't be released until it's know to whom it
belongs, thus you don't really speed things up. Or have I misunderstood the
situation?

Since our normal procedure at LGI is to enter the test requests first and
the patient details later if we implemented a duplicate requesting ban the
tests would be complete before the duplicate request could be rejected.
