Hello Peter
Sorry the format of my first email was completely screwed up: if anybody has
some bright ideas for sending tables etc,
I will have another go. Meanwhile, if you are interested, I could send the
Word and Excel files directly to you.
Our criteria include:
for 100uL: accuracy 99.3 - 100.7 uL, precision: SD < 0.5 uL
For 1000 uL: 994 - 1006 uL, precision: SD < 5.0 uL

Subject: Re: Pipette checks
Please help me with my ignorance.
Is there a sensible regime for pipette checks in terms of the frequency of
checks and the required accuracy.
All I can find is a German standard DIN 12650 which suggests 3 monthly
checks and an error limit of 1.5 ul at 100ul and 10ul at 1000ul
This seems a lot of work. Is there a more reasonable standard which would be
acceptable to the majority ?
