I would like to confirm Paul Collinson's comment. Our ITU team have been
carrying out synacthen tests on some of their patients and it is not unusual
to see poor/flat Reponses with a basal cortisol in the middle of the
reference range. A reference range for ITU patients would start at the top
of the normal range for normal subjects.
