We use a cut-off of 0.03, with a comment (agreed with cardiologists)
that "any detectable troponin should be regarded as abnormal"
Some points to consider:
(1) Is the 10%CV achievable at this level ? (for labs to verify)
(2) The data is "Roche on file" ie not supported by a peer-reviewed
publication.
(3) What is the uncertainty (95%CI) around the 0.03 cut-off ? - not
given by Roche, but would you call 0.02 or even 0.01 normal ? [hence our
comment].
