Here at Derby Local Studies Library we are wanting to update our 1:1250 and
1:2500 OS maps collection. However we are seemingly being told that now
they are digitised we would have to buy them from an agent at £55 a sheet.
Covering just Derby would be almost impossible, let alone the county which
we have also bought in the past. Using the council planning department's
GIS system has been suggested but they have told us that we would have to
supervise customers when they used it. Also this does not prevent the
ending of a 120 year collection of these scale maps either.
Has anyone had any recent experince of getting these maps?
Many thanks,
Paul Hudson
